Day 1 (47miles)

Started at 7:10am in St Ingace and ended just east of Trout lake. The board walk in St Ignace was nice to run along at sunrise. The rest of trail was dense vegetation and decently flowy. I met two trail volunteers of the shore to shore chapter of the NCT they were working hard to maithe trail. Legs feel tried but the first day is the hardest right? Try and keep you updated as I go.

2 WEEKS OUT!

What a Summer Thus Far!

With my North Country Trail run coming up in less than 2 weeks I decided that I better find a spot for people to follow me on my journey across the Northern Michigan. I plan to post here daily or whenever possible so people can see my progression.

About 6 weeks ago I fell while working and injured my knee. So I've been taking it easy to heal up and hopefully be able to make it the whole 540ish miles. So far my knee feels good so I'm still planning on doing the whole distance, even if it takes a little longer than originally planned.

I've got a good idea on my mileage per day and where and when I plan to stop. So come Aug. 30th I'll be off and running from St. Ignace.   Thanks to everyone who has donated to my GoFundMe campaign, and all proceeds raised are going straight to building more trails. https://www.gofundme.com/f/run-a-trail-to-build-trails

Peace be the Journey,

Scott
